Prof. S. Ram Kumar

Woodworker by Will

S. Ram Kumar has been a professor popular with students in both places -- inside classrooms and at chai ki kitlis. A modern day oracle, he has provided ahead-of-the-curve marketing advice to students of IIMs, MICA, Nirma, SPJSGMs, EDI, and other premier educational institutes. Ram Kumar's love for tools is cardinal. He can be identied with a lock-pick in his keychain or geeky mounts on his mobile.

Ram Kumar is also a Nuclear Physicist and is IIM (Ahmedabad) educated. He runs ’Last Resort’ with teaching, consulting, and corporate training taking up half his time. Technical writing (Wildlife and Technology), unicycling, angling and professional woodworking occupy the rest. He lives on the Internet Backbone with his wife Anupama, two children Rudra Kabir/Durga Kavya and family member/dog Mr. Morkley.

slotted angle furniture workshop

a day making something, learning something, and having fun

Oh, the excuse is that we make something! Like a slotted angle low-stool. With The Hive's maker community in-the-making. The thing is, that we learn, via this, a bunch of other things. Like entrepreneurship, motor skills, planning... oops! We'll just have fun, okay? In a completely different way. That is memorable, and needs your body and mind.

And of course, you take home what you make! And show it off too!!!

WHO ARE THE WORKSHOPS FOR?

For children between 12 and 100 whose hands are itching to build something that THEYNEVERTHOUGHTTHEYCOULD and whose minds are willing to explore new stuff.

TAKEAWAYS

  • A slotted angle low-stool, or anything else you make

  • A get-together with The Hive's maker community that's in-the-making
