There’s always something buzzing at The Hive! Workshops, clubs, and community gatherings span arts, games, nature, well-being, and more—giving everyone a chance to explore new skills, ideas, and friendships.

Arts & Design
Arts at The Hive embrace both fine and performing traditions. Our programmes range from theatre workshops that build confidence and stage presence, to western music sessions where participants explore rhythm, voice, and instruments. Our flagship children's theatre programme Elephants in Pink Pajamas has successfully completed 7 seasons. Visual arts are nurtured through drawing, painting, and mixed-media explorations, while craft-based sessions invite hands-on making. We also host occasional, intensive workshops—pottery, calligraphy, tie-dye, button masala fashion or paper crafts—that allow participants to try something new in a short, immersive format. Together, these experiences open pathways for expression, skill, and imagination, accessible to learners of all ages.
Games & Recreation
Play is at the heart of The Hive, whatever the programme. More specifically, our Saturday Game Nights hosted by the Unboxed Board Game Club, bring together families and friends for strategising and interacting over tabletop games. For younger players, Jr. Gamer sessions introduce these Euro-style games with discussions focusing on metacognition.
Beyond the table, we design treasure hunts, summer camps, and outdoor challenges that mix play with exploration. The Hive also curates game experiences for private gatherings—birthdays, reunions, or team retreats—where fun becomes the medium for bonding. These offerings ensure that everyone, from beginners to seasoned gamers, finds joy in play.

Well-being & Mindfulness
The Hive offers spaces to pause, recharge, and reconnect with oneself. Our mornings begin with yoga and pranayama sessions that build strength, flexibility, and balance for the day ahead. Evenings bring martial arts classes, where discipline meets mindful movement. Creativity blends with reflection in art therapy workshops, while sound healing journeys, access bar sessions, one-on-one consultations, invite participants into deep rest and resonance. We also host occasional expert-led sessions on nutrition, holistic health, and wellness practices. These programmes are designed to be accessible to all ages, encouraging simple habits of mindfulness that extend beyond the Hive into daily life.
Nature & Sciences
Curiosity about the world drives our Nature & Sciences programmes. Participants dive into STEAM workshops that blend science, technology, engineering, arts, and math into hands-on projects. Our gardening sessions encourage learning directly from soil, plants, and seasons, while past workshops have explored unique themes like meeting the bees, understanding the body language of dogs, heritage exploration with CEPT, or discovering math through origami and LEGO builds. Some of these programmes are designed as short-term explorations, while others evolve into longer learning journeys, keeping curiosity alive and rooted in real-world experiences.

Skill Building & Makers' Practices
At The Hive, skill-building means preparing for both everyday life and creative exploration. Our programmes range from financial literacy workshops that help children and teens understand money, to Basic Life Support training with the Red Cross, equipping participants with practical tools for emergencies. We also celebrate making with the hands—past workshops have included slotted-angle furniture building, rug crafting, tablet weaving, and other DIY projects that blend design, problem-solving, and sustainability. Some sessions focus on essential life skills, while others encourage participants to discover the satisfaction of building something from scratch. Together, they foster confidence, independence, and resilience.
Voices & Stories
The Hive believes that every voice holds a story worth sharing. Through this category, we nurture the art of communication in many forms. Our storytelling programmes invite children and adults alike to craft and perform narratives—building imagination, confidence, and listening skills. The Speakers’ Club initiatives give young participants a platform to practice public speaking, impromptu expression, and structured debates in a supportive community. For those who love the written word, Reading Circles and Reading Between the Lines sessions encourage deeper engagement with texts, exploring layers of meaning and perspective. Together, these programmes strengthen speaking, listening, and reflective thinking—helping participants grow into articulate, thoughtful communicators both on stage and in everyday life.

Community & Social Connection
The Hive thrives on bringing people together through shared experiences. Our Pause Project invites participants to slow down with micro-moments of reflection, while game nights spark laughter and camaraderie across generations. Social gatherings often mix creativity with fun—like Paint & Sip evenings, drum circles, celebrations with NGO participants, or playful sessions of puppy yoga. Community initiatives, such as the Goonj donation drive, extend this spirit outward, encouraging collective action and care. Whether it’s through conversation, play, or purpose-driven events, these programmes strengthen the bonds that make The Hive a true community space.
