papermaking: recycle & reuse
and experience the joy of creation
Community Upcycling Event
Come one, come all... let's recycle our "pasti," and have some "masti" to create Upcycled products. Bring over wads of paper and buckets of water. Choose from our coloured pulps & inclusions, screens & deckles, and dedicate yourself to the business of papermaking.
There are several ways to make paper. Let's begin by exploring an eco-friendly option - upcycling discarded papers. Explore how recycled material can be turned into pulp; use other suitable materials to create textures, embossing, watermarks, gradient papers, pulp painting, and whatever's possible.

This workshop allows participants to explore the creative possibilities of the art through a simple ‘do-it yourself ‘ approach, encouraging learning by doing. Participants can use the skills and knowledge gained in the workshop to work independently on their own projects.
